The United Methodist Church does not have a central headquarters or a single executive leader. Duties are divided among bodies that include the General Conference, the Council of Bishops and the Judicial Council.
These entities are required by our Constitution to be part of our structure. Each plays a significant role in the life of the church.
Reflect today on how God has carried you. Remember those times when God clearly answered your prayers and give thanks.
Pray that God would reveal himself and his glory as we seek him over the next 10
days
Pray for the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit to be known among us, because without him, our efforts are useless.
Pray that we would be a people who grow in the knowledge and worship of God. Ask that we would walk in the fullness of the knowledge of God.
Pray for unity in diversity among the members/partners of Emmanuel Church. Ask God to give us a gospel-love that transcends all our differences
God, give us a desire for Your Word as the true source of wisdom and a heart of receptivity to the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
God, give us the wisdom to see joy even in suffering, since we know suffering leads to a more mature and complete faith.
Jesus Christ is the true hope of the world. God, fill us with more faith and hope in this life and the life we are promised.
Enable us to resemble Jesus in how we show love and respect to all people. Give us your heart of inclusion for every people, tongue and tribe.
God, give us the vision you have for our families so we will be protected from the evil one and we will not be ignorant of Satan’s schemes.
